HYDE PARK LED SCREEN

BRIEF AND CHALLENGES:

To take over and revamp the existing structure of a broken LED screen at the high traffic intersection of William Nicol and Jan Smuts outside of one of Johannesburg’s busiest shopping centres, Hyde Park.

Type: P10 LED Screen Brightness: 8000 Nits Brightness Resolution: 672 x 504 pixels Dimensions: 7.17m x 5.38m Size: 35.5m2

SOLUTION:

To avoid delays in gaining council permission, Adtec built the screen in consultation with necessary authorities and the landlords to make sure the new P10, high brightness (8000cd/m2) screen would be covered by existing permits. This sped up the process considerably. The 35.5m2 screen was built making use of existing support structures to ensure the maximum savings for all concerned.
