LED COUNTDOWN CLOCKS

BRIEF AND CHALLENGES:

To erect massive digital clocks at all airports throughout South Africa counting down to the FIFA World Cup held in South Africa in 2010. The clocks had to be built to custom sizes and be centrally controlled to be changed if necessary.

SOLUTION:

Adtec built South Africa’s first Countrywide Outdoor Digital Signage network (made up of 19 countdown clocks of varying sizes on a dedicated VPN), capable of remote monitoring and distribution of content. 8000cd/m2 P10 panels were used to be able to withstand direct sunlight and a team of full time electricians and technicians were on standby to ensure maximum uptime.
