BRIEF AND CHALLENGES:

To make an impression on the Johannesburg skyline by building and economically lighting up the Transnet logo and name on all four sides of the tallest building in Africa, the Carlton centre.

SOLUTION:

Adtec sourced the highest quality low wattage back lighting LED bulbs, using Samsung powered chips to ensure smooth consistent lighting across the entire sign. Using high-gain translucent calendered vinyl, spread against perfectly sized polycarb sheeting, the light usage was optimised without any hotspot creation, keeping signage covering a staggering 1097.52m2 lit with only 33800 LEDs
